Journal ArticleDOI
Modified ELISA for antibody avidity evaluation: The need for standardization
Victor Corrêa,Thais Sousa Rodrigues,Amanda Izeli Portilho,Gabriela Trzewikoswki de Lima,Elizabeth De Gaspari +4 more
TL;DR: The utilization of commercial kits or in-house methods to evaluate antibody avidity have been adopted more and more, although the lack of standardization between different assays may generate a lot of variation in the process, making it hard to compare the results generated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immune responses of meningococcal B outer membrane vesicles in middle-aged mice.
Gabriela Trzewikoswki de Lima,Gabriela Trzewikoswki de Lima,Thais Sousa Rodrigues,Amanda Izeli Portilho,Amanda Izeli Portilho,Victor Corrêa,Victor Corrêa,E. B. Gaspar,Elizabeth De Gaspari,Elizabeth De Gaspari +9 more
TL;DR: Immunization of middle-aged mice has generated a robust immune response and it appears to be advantageous, especially the group immunized with OMVs and aluminum hydroxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vaccines, adjuvants and key factors for mucosal immune response
TL;DR: The impact of vaccine administration in different mucosal surfaces; how appropriate adjuvants enhance the induction of protective mucosal immunity and other factors that can influence the mucosal immune response to vaccines are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of different routes of immunization using outer membrane vesicles of Neisseria meningitidis B and comparison of two adjuvants.
Luciana Tendolini Brito,Fabiana Mahylowski Rinaldi,E. B. Gaspar,Victor Corrêa,Caroline A. Gonçalves,Amanda Izeli Portilho,Gabriela Trzewikoswki de Lima,Elizabeth De Gaspari +7 more
TL;DR: Outer membrane vesicles of Neisseria meningitidis contain important antigens to trigger an immune response against meningococci and have been studied as vaccines compounds, but it was not possible to define a superiority between the adjuvants and routes of immunization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cross-reactivity With Brazilian Strains of Neisseria meningitidis B After Immunization With Outer Membrane Vesicles
TL;DR: It is observed that immunization with N. meningitidis B outer membrane vesicles led to the production of antibodies that recognized antigens of heterologous strains, indicating possible protection against these evaluated strains.
