Journal ArticleDOI

Facile room temperature synthesis of multifunctional CTAB coated gold nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, a facile single-step method for the room-temperature synthesis of gold nanoparticles (Au-NPs) coated with cationic surfactant, Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB), was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flexible self-powered piezoelectric pressure sensor based on GaN/p-GaN coaxial nanowires

TL;DR: In this article, a flexible piezoelectric pressure sensor (PEPS) based on coaxial GaN nanowires (NWs) was proposed for measuring dynamic and static pressure signals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile synthesis of gold nanostars over a wide size range and their excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering and fluorescence quenching properties

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that Au nanostars (NSs) are excellent for fluorescence quenching and trace detection by surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is an excellent technique for detecting the trace concentration of targets However, SERS based detection of fluorescent targets is tricky as the fluorescence signal can severely interfere with the SERS signal upon resonance excitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Toward stable photoelectrochemical water splitting using NiOOH coated hierarchical nitrogen-doped ZnO-Si nanowires photoanodes

TL;DR: In this paper , ZnO-Si photoanodes with a photostability of 82.21% over 20000 s were fabricated on Si NWs using a metal organic chemical vapor deposition approach and then N-doped by annealing in an NH3 atmosphere.
