Proinflammatory Cytokines in the Olfactory Mucosa Result in COVID-19 Induced Anosmia.

TL;DR: Elevated levels of the proinflammatory cytokine TNF-α were seen in the olfactory epithelium in patients with COVID-19, suggesting that direct inflammation of the Olfactory Epithelium could play a role in the acuteOlfactory loss described in many patients in this study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI

Label Free Fiber Optic Apta-Biosensor for In-Vitro Detection of Dopamine

TL;DR: A simple, sensitive, and selective optical fiber biosensor for in vitro detection of the DA in the presence of other NT, composed of a 57-mer dopamine-binding aptamer as recognition element and nonadiabatic tapered optical fiber as a probe is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dental pulp stem cell transplantation ameliorates motor function and prevents cerebellar atrophy in rat model of cerebellar ataxia.

TL;DR: Assessment of the neurorestorative/protective effects of dental pulp stem cell implantation on a rat model of CA induced by 3-acetylpyridine (3-AP) as a neurotoxin showed that transplantation of DPSCs in a 3-AP model of ataxia ameliorated motor coordination and muscle activity, increased cerebellar volumes of molecular and granular layers plus white matter, and reduced the levels of inflammatory cytokines.
