Laser metal deposition of nickel coated Al 7050 alloy
TL;DR: In this article, an alternate solution of laser metal deposition of Al 7050 alloy powder coated with nickel was presented, where the added nickel was partially segregated in the inter-dendritic boundaries and formed brittle Al 3 Ni intermetallics.
Book ChapterDOI
Direct Laser Metal Deposition of Eutectic Al-Si Alloy for Automotive Applications
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used optical and scanning electron microscopy to construct tall wall and cuboid shapes eutectic Al-Si components by direct laser metal deposition technique for automotive applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication of Al-11.2Si Components by Direct Laser Metal Deposition for Automotive Applications
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser Metal Deposition of Al-7050/Al50Mg50 Gradient Material
TL;DR: In this paper, a gradient sample of Al 7050/Al 50Mg50 was fabricated layer-by-layer by the gradual addition of Al50Mg 50 alloy with the Al 70 50 powder, and a correlation was developed between Mg content in powder feed and the resulting gradient deposit.
