Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of storage time and temperature on lipid oxidation of egg powders enriched with natural antioxidants

TL;DR: Egg powders enriched with antioxidants show that natural antioxidants can be used in egg powder instead of synthetic compounds to reduce malonaldehyde production during storage, and catechin is more effective in reducing oxidation during storage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of agaricus blazei in the diet of broiler chickens on immunity, serum parameters and antioxidant activity

TL;DR: The inclusion of A. blazei in the diet of broilers provided an immunostimulatory activity and hypocholesterolemic effect and Residual compounds with antioxidant activity were present in the meat, which may promote tissue protection of the animal in vivo, making possible the use of A., blazei as a natural additive.
Journal ArticleDOI

By-product of passion fruit seed (Passiflora edulis) in the diet of broilers

TL;DR: BPFS can be used up to 5% in broiler diets without harming the parameters evaluated from 1 to 21 d and 1 to 42 d, and it is shown that meat quality was not affected by the different levels of BPFS.
Journal ArticleDOI

By-product of passion fruit seed (Passiflora edulis) in the diet of commercial laying hens

TL;DR: The effects of the inclusion of the by-product passion fruit seed (BPFS) in the diet of laying hens on performance, blood variables, quality, and lipid oxidation in eggs were evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of okara (aqueous extract residue) in the diet of starter broilers

TL;DR: In this article, two experiments were carried out to determine the chemical composition of okara and to evaluate the performance and carcass yield of broilers fed diets containing increasing levels of the herb.
