Journal ArticleDOI
Merging history as a function of halo environment
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the frequency of merging events in the history of the halos and find that at low redshifts (z < 1), the merging rate of the overall halo population can be described by a simple power law (1+z)^3.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution of Bias in Different Cosmological Models
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the evolution of the halo-halo correlation function and small-scale bias in four cosmological models (?CDM, OCDM,?CDM and SCDM) using very high resolution n-body simulations with a dynamical range of ~10,000-32,000 (force resolution of?2-4 h-1 kpc and particle mass of?109 H-1 M?).
Journal ArticleDOI
Halo Gas and Galaxy Disk Kinematics Derived from Observations and ΛCDM Simulations of Mg II Absorption-selected Galaxies at Intermediate Redshift
Glenn G. Kacprzak,Glenn G. Kacprzak,Christopher W. Churchill,Daniel Ceverino,Daniel Ceverino,Charles C. Steidel,Anatoly Klypin,Michael T. Murphy +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors obtained ESI/Keck rotation curves of 10 Mg II-selected galaxies (0.3 ≤ z ≤ 1.0) for which they have WFPC-2/HST images and high-resolution HIRES/Keg and UVES/VLT quasar spectra of the mg II absorption profiles.
Journal ArticleDOI
How far do they go? The outer structure of galactic dark matter halos
Francisco Prada,Anatoly Klypin,Eduardo Simonneau,Juan Betancort-Rijo,Santiago G. Patiri,Stefan Gottlöber,Miguel A. Sánchez-Conde +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the density profiles of collapsed galaxy-size halos with masses 1011 to 5? 1012 M were studied, focusing mostly on the halo outer regions from the formal virial radius Rvir up to 5Rvir-7Rvir.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution in the Halo Masses of Isolated Galaxies between z ~ 1 and z ~ 0: From DEEP2 to SDSS
Charlie Conroy,Francisco Prada,Jeffrey A. Newman,Darren J. Croton,Alison L. Coil,Christopher J. Conselice,Michael C. Cooper,Marc Davis,S. M. Faber,Brian F. Gerke,Puragra Guhathakurta,Anatoly Klypin,David C. Koo,Renbin Yan +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the evolution in the virial mass-to-light ratio (M_200/L_B) and virialto-stellar mass ratio for isolated ~;L*galaxies between z~;1 and z ~;0 by combining data from the DEEP2 GalaxyRedshift Survey and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
