Lucinda J. Bessa,Peter Eaton,Anderson Dematei,Anderson Dematei,Alexandra Plácido,Nuno Vale,Paula Gomes,Cristina Delerue-Matos,José Roberto S.A. Almeida Leite,José Roberto S.A. Almeida Leite,Paula Gameiro +10 more
TL;DR: Ocellatin-PT3 may be promising as a template for the development of novel antimicrobial peptides against P. aeruginosa, and was capable of preventing the proliferation of 48-h mature biofilms at concentrations ranging from 4 to 8× the MIC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Angiogenesis in Schistosoma haematobium-associated urinary bladder cancer.
Anderson Dematei,Rúben Fernandes,Rúben Fernandes,Raquel Soares,Helena Alves,Joachim Richter,Monica C. Botelho,Monica C. Botelho +7 more
TL;DR: Recent findings on the role of angiogenesis in bladder cancer and the growth factors that induce and assist in their development are reviewed, particularly SCC of the bladder associated to urogenital schistosomiasis.
