Decision choice problems occur in every age levels, including teen-age when students will go to higher school level education. Senior High School is the first level of education that student chooses and follows the majoring class of their interest. But students usually simply select the major not based on a careful consideration or reckoning. Therefore, Decision Support System that can help students in choosing majors is needed. The system will be developed as a web-based application program, using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method better known as the weighted sum method. This SAW method is used to generate the recommendation majoring result that will be given to students in a recommendation list majors, which sorted based on highest to lowest percentage result. This result can be a referable for students in choosing the majors.

Aim/Purpose The purposes of this research are to analyze online learning management activities conducted by the principals of junior high schools in Indonesia in facing COVID-19 as well as to discuss their perspective and expectations towards online learning activities when facing COVID-19 and after COVID-19 has passed. Background Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture instructed that teaching and learning activities for all levels of education in Indonesia must be carried out online from home. There have been comprehensive reports about the various forms of online learning, its effects on students, the challenges, the learning transition from offline to online, and teachers' views on this new approach. Very few, if any, focus on how principals act upon the transition during this COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this research focuses on how principals overcome various problems that arise in the implementation of online learning activities. Methodology As many as 309 principals of junior high school from twelve districts in Indonesia were asked to give their responses to a set of questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaire was analyzed using Cronbach's Alpha with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The percentage was mainly used in the descriptive analysis. To obtain the influence among variables, the statistical inferential analysis was used. Contribution Although the sample size of this research is limited, the results may contribute to the existing theory and practice related to the implementation of online learning in Indonesia. The findings of this research could be a guide for principals to manage online learning in the future. Findings The data analysis showed that the constructs of organizing and monitoring-evaluation were found to play an important role as a mediator between the variables of planning with implementation of principal management in online learning. Path analysis demonstrated that the implementation variable was significantly influenced by the variables of planning, organizing and monitoring-evaluation, with a contribution value of 78.20%. Thus, it indicated that the planning, organizing and monitoring-evaluation variables contributed directly or indirectly to the implementation of principal management in online learning. Generally, the online learning management activities conducted by the principals of junior high schools in Indonesia have been carried out well, especially in the Implementing aspect. However, the aspects of Planning, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation, still need to be improved. Recommendations for Practitioners The government is recommended to provide adequate online learning supporting facilities as well as to facilitate teachers to increase insight and knowledge in terms of technology use, especially in designing, implementing, and providing assessments of online learning. So far, the government has provided some facilities and conveniences to principals and teachers. However, some information and ICT related trainings from the government during the COVID-19 pandemic is not widely known by the principals and the teachers. Socialization about these is needed. Recommendations for Researchers This work offers a theoretical understanding of the problems faced by school principals in facing COVID-19. Further research on how principals and teachers manage online learning activities needs to be carried out to solve various problems which might arise during the process of implementation. Impact on Society This research suggests that the principals in Indonesia have good online learning management. However, to reach the stated learning objectives efficiently and effectively, the principals need to collaborate with the teachers as the main facilitators of the teaching and learning process. Cooperation with parents is also highly recommended. Future Research Further research should focus on how the application of online learning can improve students' achievement through good management and collaboration with teachers, other administration staff at schools, and parents.

Online learning management in the era of covid-19 pandemic at junior high schools in indonesia

The determination of a number of items in the right number is very essential for a company, but in actual practice, it is not trivial task. There are many factors that influence them such as inventory and sales levels. If a number of the ordering goods is too slight or too much, it will effect in the fulfillment of consumer demand. One of the ways that can be used to predict a number of ordering goods is a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) using Tsukamoto fuzzy logic method. Three variables that are used in this study, namely sales, inventory, and ordering or purchasing. The sales input variables are divided into 3 categories, namely down, constant, and rise. Then, inventory input variebles are divided into 3 categories, namely a slight, moderate and many, likewise ordering input variables also consists in 3 categories, namely less, constant, and increase. The next step is the combination of rules from all events, then performing inference and defuzzifikasi to find average centered. To prove the applied method against manual calculations are then implemented in the developed system. The results of the system calculation do not much different with the calculation results that are done by manually. This is proven by information in the table of Mean Squared Error (MSE) with error results of under 1. So, without prejudice to accuracy in the calculation, the system can be used to save time in determining the amount of the ordering goods. The proposed method can help for research object, in this case is retail company to determine a number of ordering goods.

Development of Decision Support System for Ordering Goods using Fuzzy Tsukamoto

Rabin Karp algorithm is a search algorithm that searches for a substring pattern in a text using hashing. It is beneficial for matching words with many patterns. One of the practical applications of Rabin Karp's algorithm is in the detection of plagiarism. Michael O. Rabin and Richard M. Karp invented the algorithm. This algorithm performs string search by using a hash function. A hash function is the values that are compared between two documents to determine the level of similarity of the document. Rabin-Karp algorithm is not very good for single pattern text search. This algorithm is perfect for multiple pattern search. The Levenshtein algorithm can be used to replace the hash calculation on the Rabin-Karp algorithm. The hash calculation on Rabin-Karp only counts the number of hashes that have the same value in both documents. Using the Levenshtein algorithm, the calculation of the hash distance in both documents will result in better accuracy.

The use of ICT in education has caused substantial changes in learning and brought many benefits to higher learning institutions. However, the development of ICT in the institution of higher education in Indonesia is a minus value compared to other Southeast Asia countries (e.g., Singapore and Malaysia). This is due to several factors which are the lack of knowledge and lack of motivation, especially in Medan, North Sumatera. Medan as the fourth largest city in Indonesia has a low penetration of ICT utilization compared to the other cities which is smaller than it is. Previous studies have found that there is a positive relationship between variables, which are motivation towards ICT usage, knowledge level towards ICT usage, and ICT usage towards learning process quality. This paper addresses the issue by demonstrating a method of study to identify the impact of ICT usage towards learning process quality by lecturers in Medan, Indonesia. As a result, the application of the quantitative research design and data collection through survey questionnaire was considered as the most appropriate method to receive the outcome of the study. Statistical techniques which are the descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis methods proposed as the means to analyze the data. ICT Usage Amongst Lecturers and Its Impact Towards Learning Process Quality

In the problem of determining the proper level of sequence in a sorting problem, the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is an easy-to-use technique. It can analyze cases based on the criteria used. The use of criteria values in this approach has an unlimited amount. The more criteria used, the higher the accuracy of the results obtained. There are two types of criteria, cost, and benefits. Cost is used if the higher the criterion value, the lower the chance to get the top score while the benefit is used if the higher the criterion value, the greater the chance to get the top position. This study explains how to apply SAW algorithm in solving sequence problems in various cases encountered. Using this method will solve decisions that can not be completed manually. It helps the admin in choosing the best decision in any particular instance.

Implementation of Simple Additive Weighting Algorithm in Particular Instance

The process of determining eligibility for someone is usually given with the same value. The determination of eligibility is determined based on several criteria. These criteria are the ability to Academic Potential Test (APT) and Grade Point Average (GPA). The Tsukamoto fuzzy system is the model used in this paper. Each input variable is divided into two membership functions. There are nine rules of Tsukamoto's model applied. The system also provides following changes of parameters if the parameter values are to be changed. The result of the difference of the employability is given to them. The greater the APT score, the more the value of the feasibility of the work obtained. The more GPA values gained, the greater the value of the workplace eligibility.

Implementation of Fuzzy Tsukamoto Algorithm in Determining Work Feasibility

In the Sequitur algorithm, the compression process is performed based on the number of characters having similar similarities. Similarities will be detected on every syllable in the entire text. Determination of the number of characters to be compared will affect the compression level of this algorithm. Using dynamic or static blocks can optimize the number of compressed characters and of course, it affects the speed of data transmission.
