Journal ArticleDOI

The Impact of Tumor Size on Outcomes After Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Medically Inoperable Early-Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

TL;DR: Current employed stereotactic body radiation therapy dose regimens can provide safe effective local therapy even for larger solitary NSCLC tumors but are associated with more nonlocal failures as well as poorer survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Respiration correlated cone-beam computed tomography and 4DCT for evaluating target motion in Stereotactic Lung Radiation Therapy.

TL;DR: It is shown that the relative motion and position of the tumour at the time of treatment may not match that of the planning 4DCT scan, therefore, application of breathing motion data acquired at simulation for tracking or gating radiation therapy may not be suitable for all patients — even those receiving short course treatment techniques such as SBRT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiotherapy fractionation for the palliation of uncomplicated painful bone metastases - an evidence-based practice guideline.

TL;DR: A systematic review and meta-analysis provided high quality evidence for the key recommendation in this clinical practice guideline, recommending a single 8 Gy treatment as the standard dose-fractionation schedule for the treatment of symptomatic and uncomplicated bone metastases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stereotactic ablative radiotherapy for centrally located early stage non-small-cell lung cancer: what we have learned.

TL;DR: The current understanding of indications, dose regimens, planning optimization, and normal tissue dose-volume constraints for using SABR to treat central NSCLC are addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oncologists' use of quality of life information: results of a survey of Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group physicians.

TL;DR: This report of ECOG oncologists' views on Q OL information suggests a model to describe relationship between physician willingness to use QOL information on the basis of their attitude and behaviour is suggested.
