Nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of tetradentate unsymmetrical Schiff base ligands: First evidence of positional isomerism in such system

TL;DR: In this article, the 1:1 condensation of 2,4-pentanedione and 1,2-diaminopropane gives a mixture two positional isomers of tridentate mono-condensed product 7amino-4-methyl-5-aza-3-octene-2-one (HAMAO) and 7-amino 4,6-dimethyl-5,aza- 3-heptene-1-hexadecane (HADAH) that reacted readily with Ni(II) thiocyanate
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic efficacy of Schiff-base copper(II) complexes: Synthesis, X-ray structure and olefin oxidation

TL;DR: Three copper(II) Schiff-base complexes, [Cu(L1)(H2O)](ClO4) (1), [cu(L2)] (2) and [Cu (L3)] (3), have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

NMR and fluorescence spectral studies on bisdithiocarbamates of divalent Zn, Cd and their nitrogenous adducts: Single crystal X-ray structure of (1,10-phenanthroline)bis(4-methylpiperazinecarbodithioato) zinc(II)

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and characterization of the following adducts were described: [Zn(4-mpzdtc)2(1,10-phen)]· H2O (1), Zn(padtc) 2(2,2′-bipy)] (2), [Cd(4mpzdc)2 (1, 10-phen) 2 (2, 2.2′)-Bipy) (3), Cd(cmpzc) 2((1, 5.5)-phen), [
Journal ArticleDOI

Tridentate (NNO) Schiff-base copper(II) complex: synthesis, crystal structure, and magnetic study

TL;DR: In this paper, a new azido adduct of a tridentate Schiff-base copper(II) complex has been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically, and X-ray single crystal structure analysis reveals that the asymmetric unit of [Cu2(L)2(µ1, 1-N3)2][Cu(L)(N3)] has two independent moieties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper(II) complexes of symmetrical and unsymmetrical tetradentate Schiff base ligands incorporating 1-benzoylacetone: Synthesis, crystal structures and electrochemical behavior

TL;DR: In this article, three new copper(II) complexes with three Schiff base ligands are synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography, and all three complexes exhibit reversible cyclic voltammetric responses in acetonitrile solution corresponding to the CuII/CuI redox process.
