Efficacy of clear aligners in controlling orthodontic tooth movement: A systematic review
Gabriele Rossini,Simone Parrini,Tommaso Castroflorio,Andrea Deregibus,Cesare Lorenzo Debernardi +4 more
TL;DR: Assessment of the scientific evidence related to the efficacy of clear aligner treatment (CAT) in controlling orthodontic tooth movement found that it is effective in controlling anterior intrusion but not anterior extrusion; it iseffective in controlling posterior buccolingual inclination butNot anterior buccoledual inclination; and it is not effective in controls rotation of rounded teeth in particular.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of different jaw relations on postural stability in human subjects.
TL;DR: Postural variations in different jaws relations were significant: in particular, the SKN multiple comparison test showed that myocentric position improved postural balance on frontal plane with respect to the other jaw positions considered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnostic accuracy and measurement sensitivity of digital models for orthodontic purposes: A systematic review
Gabriele Rossini,Simone Parrini,Tommaso Castroflorio,Andrea Deregibus,Cesare Lorenzo Debernardi +4 more
TL;DR: Digital models are as reliable as traditional plaster models, with high accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility, and with their advantages in terms of cost, time, and space required, they could be considered the new gold standard in current practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Periodontal health during clear aligners treatment: a systematic review
Gabriele Rossini,Simone Parrini,Tommaso Castroflorio,Andrea Deregibus,Cesare Lorenzo Debernardi +4 more
TL;DR: A significant improvement of the periodontal health indexes was revealed, in particular when CAT was compared to fixed appliances, and noperiodontal CAT adverse effects were observed in the selected studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Maxillary molar distalization with aligners in adult patients: a multicenter retrospective study
Serena Ravera,Tommaso Castroflorio,Francesco Garino,Sam Daher,Giovanni Cugliari,Andrea Deregibus +5 more
TL;DR: Aligner therapy in association with composite attachments and class II elastics can distalize maxillary first molars by 2.25 mm without significant tipping and vertical movements of the crown.
