Journal ArticleDOI

Transphosphatidylation by Phospholipase D

TL;DR: The transphosphatidylase function of phospholipase D offers a useful route for synthesis of a variety of phosphatidol esters, and implicate formation of a phosphothioester linkage in the phosph atidylenzyme complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Leaf methanol — the simplest natural product from plants

TL;DR: Application of methanol to leaves enhances the growth and yield of C 3 plants, although the mechanism responsible for this phenomenon is uncertain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation and Properties of the Envelope of Spinach Chloroplasts

TL;DR: The method makes use of the fact that gentle swelling of intact chloroplasts causes breakage and total detachment of the envelope to isolate separately the envelope and thylakoids of chloroplast.

The Path of Carbon in Photosynthesis. XXI. The Cyclic Regenerationof Carbon Dioxide Acceptor

TL;DR: In this paper, the distribution of radiocarbon in these sugars, and other data, indicate that sedoheptulose phosphate and ribulose diphosphates are formed during photosynthesis from triose and hexose phosphates, the latter being synthesized by the reduction of 3-phosphoglyceric acid.
