Journal ArticleDOI
On tests of spatial pattern based on simulation envelopes
Adrian Baddeley,Adrian Baddeley,Peter J. Diggle,Peter J. Diggle,Andrew Hardegen,Thomas Lawrence,Robin K. Milne,Gopalan Nair,Gopalan Nair +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explain the principles of Monte Carlo tests and their correct interpretation, canvas the benefits of graphical procedures, measure the statistical performance of several popular tests, and make practical recommendations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial logistic regression and change-of-support in Poisson point processes
Adrian Baddeley,Mark Berman,Nicholas I. Fisher,Andrew Hardegen,Robin K. Milne,Dominic Schuhmacher,Rohan Shah,Rolf Turner +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the optimal parameter estimator from pixel data is not spatial logistic regression, but complementary log-log regression with an offset depending on pixel area.
Journal ArticleDOI
On two-stage Monte Carlo tests of composite hypotheses
Adrian Baddeley,Adrian Baddeley,Andrew Hardegen,Thomas Lawrence,Robin K. Milne,Gopalan Nair,Gopalan Nair,Suman Rakshit +7 more
TL;DR: A ‘balanced’ version of the two-stage test is proposed, which is exact, for all achievable significance levels, when the null hypothesis is simple, and which performs well for composite null hypotheses.
