Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic Coulomb phase in the spin ice Ho2Ti2O7.

TL;DR: P polarized neutron scattering is used to show that the spin-ice material Ho2Ti2O7 exhibits an almost perfect Coulomb phase, which proves the existence of such phases in magnetic materials and strongly supports the magnetic monopole theory of spin ice.
Journal ArticleDOI

A ferroelectric-like structural transition in a metal

TL;DR: A centrosymetric to non-centrosymmetric (R3c) transition in metallic LiOsO3 that is structurally equivalent to the ferroelectric transition of LiNbO3 is reported, which establishes a new class of materials whose properties may differ from those of normal metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and superconductivity of LiFeAs.

TL;DR: In this paper, LiFeAs−anionic layers with the anti-PbO structure type occur in at least three different structure types and with a wide range of As-Fe-As bond angles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and superconductivity of LiFeAs

TL;DR: In this paper, the superconductivity of LiFeAs-anti-PbO-type anionic layers was demonstrated for a wide range of As-Fe-As-As bond angles.
