Effect of storage on the essential oil composition of Piper nigrum L. fruits of different ripening states.

TL;DR: The oil from ground black pepper contained more monoterpenes and less sesquiterprnes and oxygenated terpenoids as compared to green and white pepper oils, and after 1 year of storage of pepper samples in a glass vessel at room temperature, the amount of the oils isolated decreased, the content of terpenes decreased, and the amounts of oxygenated Terpenoids increased.

Journal ArticleDOI

Content and composition of the essential oil of Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert from some European countries

TL;DR: Variations in the essential oil composition of Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert from different European countries were determined and the minimum limit of 4 mL kg−1 stated by the European Pharmacopoeia was exceeded only in 13 samples from 13 analysed drugs.
