Journal ArticleDOI

Cracking the Taub-NUT

TL;DR: Dechant et al. as discussed by the authors showed that the DLH and Taub-NUT metrics are related by a coordinate transformation, in which DLH time coordinate plays the role of conformal time for Taub NUT.
Journal ArticleDOI

All-sky component separation for the Planck mission

TL;DR: In this article, an harmonic-space maximum entropy method (MEM) is presented for separating the emission from different physical components in all-sky observations by the forthcoming Planck satellite, which is performed at full Planck resolution, with a pixel size of 1.7 arcmin, which corresponds to a maximum multipole of around 6000.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mapping with the jodrell bank-tenerife radiometers

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the strength of the intrinsic signals in the CMB is due to the Sachs-Wolfe effect, in which the intensity is affected by the gravitational potential of large-scale mass concentrations in front of the last scattering surface.
