Journal ArticleDOI

Procoagulant Membrane Microparticles Correlate with the Severity of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

TL;DR: Circulating markers of endothelium damage, proinflammatory markers, and cell stimulation estimated with circulating microparticles appear to be valuable tools in determining the severity of PAH.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diagnostic and prognostic value of circulating D-Dimers in patients with acute aortic dissection.

TL;DR: D-Dimers are elevated in patients with AAD and provide valuable diagnostic and prognostic information and might be a useful complementary tool to the current diagnostic work-up of patients with suspected AAD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prognostic value of C-reactive protein and cardiac troponin I in primary percutaneous interventions for ST-elevation myocardial infarction.

TL;DR: Plasma concentrations of CRP and troponin I after PCI were related to infarct size and mortality, however, Killip class and trop onin I at 72 hours were the only independent predictors of mortality at long-term follow-up.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lower circulating Sta-Liatest D-Di levels in patients with aortic intramural hematoma compared with classical aortic dissection.

TL;DR: Sta-Liatest D-Di levels are lower in AIH than in AAD with patent false lumen, which can quite possibly be negative in the case of intramural hematoma, and must be considered when interpreting d-dimer levels in patients with acute aortic syndrome.
