Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of cuckoo-pint (Arum maculatum) mitochondrial adenosine triphosphatases
TL;DR: The catalytic properties of cuckoo-pint (Arum maculatum) mitochondrial adenosine triphosphatase have been analysed and it is suggested that the differences in subunit composition of plant and mammalian adenosines triph phosphateases are structurally, rather than functionally, significant.
Book ChapterDOI
Engineering Trierucin into Oilseed Rape by the Introduction of a 1-Acyl-sn-Glycerol-3-Phosphate Acyltransferase from Limnanthes Douglasii
Clare L. Brough,Jane M. Coventry,William W. Christie,Johan T.M. Kroon,Tina L. Barsby,Antoni R. Slabas +5 more
TL;DR: Currently available cultivars of high erucic acid rape (HEAR) have a theoretical maximum of 66% erucaic acid in their seed oil due to the specificity of the membrane-bound 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase (LPA-AT) enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI
β-Ketoacyl-acyl-carrier protein synthase from developing seeds of oilseed rape ( Brassica napus )
Journal ArticleDOI
Mutagenesis of squash (Cucurbita moschata) glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase (GPAT) to produce an enzyme with altered substrate selectivity.
M.W. Hayman,Tony Fawcett,T. F. Schierer,J. W. Simon,Johan T.M. Kroon,John Gilroy,David W. Rice,John B. Rafferty,Andrew P. Turnbull,Svetlana E. Sedelnikova,Antoni R. Slabas +10 more
TL;DR: In an attempt to rationalize the relationship between structure and substrate selectivity of glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase, a number of cDNAs are cloned into the pET overexpression system using a PCR-based approach and its full three-dimensional structure elucidated.
