Potato lectin: a three-domain glycoprotein with novel hydroxyproline-containing sequences and sequence similarities to wheat-germ agglutinin.

TL;DR: Accurate determinations of the molecular weight of the lectin by a MALDI mass spectrometer have shown that the subunit molecular weight is 65,500 (+/- 1100) and that of a totally deglycosylated sample is 31,250 (+/- 30), which means that the Lectin is 52.3 (+/- 1)% carbohydrate with a considerable number of glycoforms being present.

Candida yeast long chain fatty alcohol oxidase is a c-type haemoprotein and plays an important role in long chain fatty acid metabolism.

TL;DR: This work directly determine in vivo the role of the long chain alcohol oxidase (FAOT) in C. tropicalis, grown on a variety of substrates, followed by gene deletion, and demonstrates that different pathways of octadecane, hexade cane, oleic acid and palmitic acid utilisation exist in C- tropicalis.

Limnanthes douglasii lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferases: immunological quantification, acyl selectivity and functional replacement of the Escherichia coli plsC gene.

TL;DR: The antibodies can distinguish between the two acyltransferase proteins and demonstrate that both migrate in an anomalous fashion on SDS/PAGE gels, and it is reported that LAT2 and a maize LPAAT enzyme (MAT1) can functionally replace the E. coli plsC gene after its deletion in the chromosome, whereas LAT1 and a coconut LPAat (Coco1) cannot.

The effects of extracellular adenosine 5'-triphosphate on the tobacco proteome.

TL;DR: Exogenous ATP and a non‐hydrolysable analogue used as probes to identify the molecular and physiological effects of eATP‐mediated signalling in tobacco reveal several previously unknown putative molecular targets of e ATP signalling, which pinpointeATP as an important hub at which regulatory signals of some major primary metabolic pathways and defence responses are integrated.
