Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Several Dephosphonated Analogues of CMP‐Neu5Ac as Inhibitors of GM3‐Synthase

TL;DR: The synthesis of several dephosphonated CMP-Neu5Ac congeners and their anti-GM3-synthase activity is reported, and it is revealed that some inhibitors almost completely blocked the GM3- synthase activity in vitro and reduced theGM3 content in living embryonic kidney 293A cells, eventually activating the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling cascade.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Simple Synthetic Access to Differently 4-Substituted Neu5Ac2en Glycals Combining Elements of Molecules with Anti-Neuraminidase Activity

TL;DR: In this article, a protocol for direct access to C-4-functionalized Neu5Ac2en derivatives by allylic substitution of an α-acetoxy group with various nucleophiles is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simple and Rapid Procedures for the Synthesis of 5-Acylated 4β-Acylamido- and 4β-Acetoxyneuraminic Acid Glycals

TL;DR: Two simple and rapid procedures affording 4β-acylamido- and 4 β-acetoxyneuraminic acid glycals acylated or perfluoroacylated at the 5-amino group are reported.
