Journal ArticleDOI
Fibromyalgia has a larger impact on physical health than on psychological health, yet both are markedly affected: the al-Ándalus project.
Víctor Segura-Jiménez,Inmaculada C. Álvarez-Gallardo,Ana Carbonell-Baeza,Virginia A. Aparicio,Francisco B. Ortega,Antonio J. Casimiro,Manuel Delgado-Fernández +6 more
TL;DR: The results reinforce the understanding of fibromyalgia as a polysymptomatic distress condition with pain as its main symptom and support that Fibromyalgia seems to have a greater impact on physical than on psychological outcomes, though both are largely affected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of stretching program in an industrial workplace on hamstring flexibility and sagittal spinal posture of adult women workers: a randomized controlled trial.
TL;DR: Hamstring stretching exercises performed in the working place are effective for increasing hamstring muscle extensibility and this increase generates a more aligned thoracic curve and more anterior pelvic inclination when maximal trunk flexion is performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Land- and water-based exercise intervention in women with fibromyalgia: the al-andalus physical activity randomised controlled trial
Ana Carbonell-Baeza,Ana Carbonell-Baeza,Jonatan R. Ruiz,Jonatan R. Ruiz,Virginia A. Aparicio,Francisco B. Ortega,Francisco B. Ortega,Diego Munguía-Izquierdo,Inmaculada C. Álvarez-Gallardo,Víctor Segura-Jiménez,Daniel Camiletti-Moirón,Alejandro Romero,Fernando Estévez-López,Blanca Samos,Antonio J. TL;DR: A randomised control trial to investigate the effectiveness of a land- and water-based exercise intervention for reducing the overall impact of fibromyalgia and improving patients' health status by implementing two types of exercise interventions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Motivos de los ciudadanos para realizar ejercicio físico: un estudio desde la teoría de la autodeterminación
Álvaro Sicilia,David González-Cutre,Eva M. Artés,Antonio Orta,Antonio J. Casimiro,Roberto Ferriz +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the relationship between the reasons for exercise and its reported weekly frequency in a representative sample of an adult urban population, and found that participants who reported the highest exercise frequency had the highest score on both self-determined and controlling exercise motives.
Journal Article
Sagittal spinal curvatures and pelvic tilt in cyclists : a comparison between two master cyclist categories : original research article
TL;DR: Both cyclists' categories presented a high percentage of hyperkyphosis thoracic in the standing posture, and master 40 cyclists showed a significantly lower lumbar lordosis and anterior pelvic tilt than master 30 cyclists.
