Methanofullerenes from Macrocyclic Malonates

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and intercomparison of several new methanofullerenes, each bearing a macrocyclic crown ether containing a malonate moiety directly attached to the C60-fullerene core, was described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time-resolved EPR investigation of intramolecular photoinduced electron transfer in spin-labeled fullerene/ferrocene dyads

TL;DR: In this article, photo-induced electron transfer from ferrocene-linked TEMPO-labeled fulleropyrrolidines has been studied by time-resolved EPR using laser excitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time-resolved EPR observation of synthetic eumelanin-superoxide radical pairs.

TL;DR: TR-EPR spectra of UV irradiated synthetic eumelanin in equilibrium with air oxygen reveal the formation of melanin-superoxide radical pairs and allow to determine both the electron dipolar interaction D and the exchange interaction J between the two radicals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cotton functionalized with peptides: characterization and synthetic methods†

TL;DR: IR absorption spectroscopy is proved to be an easy and fast method to check the covalent anchorage of a peptide to cotton, whereas for a quantitative determination, a UV absorption method was employed.
