Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of yttria on sintering and microstructural behavior of reaction sintered mullite based on bauxite, fly ash and precipitated silica

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Y 2 O 3 on the sintering behavior of mullite compacts was investigated and it was shown that rapid mullitization occurred through nucleation and normal grain growth due to the formation of yttrious silicate glassy phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alumina-Mullite Composites through Interaction of Bauxite and Fly Ash

TL;DR: In this paper, an alumina-mullite composites with various mole ratios of Al2O3 and SiO2 were generated by interacting fly ash with bauxite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Utilization of Birbhum China clay, West Bengal for manufacturing of electrical porcelain insulators

TL;DR: In this article, the electrical porcelain insulator was fabricated using local clay raw materials collected from Birbhum, West Bengal, with the objective to evaluate its suitability as a potential raw material.
Journal Article

Effect Of Addition of Tio2 As Dopant On The Physico- Mechanical Properties of Triaxial Porcelain

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of addition of TiO 2 as dopant on the physicico-mechanical properties of triaxial porcelain was investigated and the results clearly demonstrate that TiO2 may be added up to 2% to obtain a porcelaine body with good physic-machical properties when sintered at 1300 o C
