Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrahigh surface area biomass derived 3D hierarchical porous carbon nanosheet electrodes for high energy density supercapacitors

TL;DR: In this article, a symmetric supercapacitor with a pore volume of 1.83 cm3 was constructed from wood carbon waste blocks and achieved a specific capacitance of 588 F g−1 at 0.4 V in 6 m KOH and 0 2 V in 1 m Na2SO4 electrolyte, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Revealing the Self-Degradation Mechanisms in Methylammonium Lead Iodide Perovskites in Dark and Vacuum.

TL;DR: It was found that an interplay between CH3 NH3+ , I3- , and mobile I- ions continuously regenerates more I2- ions, which diffuse to the surface even in the absence of light, and a shift of the onset of the absorption band edge towards shorter wavelengths was observed, indicating the formation of defect species upon aging in the dark under vacuum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stabilization of cryptomelane α-MnO2 nanowires tunnels widths for enhanced electrochemical energy storage

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple one-step hydrothermal technique to incorporate K+ ions to maintain the tunnel width of cryptomelane α-MnO2 nanowires during cycling performance was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrodeposited Trimetallic NiFeW Hydroxide Electrocatalysts for Efficient Water Oxidation.

TL;DR: Tungsten-doped Ni-Fe hydroxides fabricated on a three-dimensional nickel foam through cathodic electrodeposition are proposed as effective oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts for alkaline water oxidation as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibition of Redox Behaviors in Hierarchically Structured Manganese Cobalt Phosphate Supercapacitor Performance by Surface Trivalent Cations.

TL;DR: A morphology-tuned MnxCo3–x(PO4)2·8H2O (MCP) spinel compound synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method is reported, and it can be used as a vital candidate in supercapacitor energy storage applications.
