Journal ArticleDOI
Images and Spectral Properties of Two Component Advective Flows Around Black Holes: Effects of Photon Bending
TL;DR: In this article, the authors study the nature of photon trajectories in the vicinity of a Schwarzschild black hole and incorporate this in predicting images of TCAF with a black hole at the Centre.
Journal ArticleDOI
Images and spectra of time-dependent two-component advective flow in presence of outflows
Arka Chatterjee,Sandip K. Chakrabarti,Sandip K. Chakrabarti,Himadri Ghosh,Himadri Ghosh,Sudip K. Garain +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied time dependent images of advective flows around a Schwarzschild black hole which include cooling effects due to Comptonization of soft photons from a Keplerian disks as well as the self-consistently produced jets and outflows.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temporal evolution of photon energy emitted from two-component advective flows: origin of time lag
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employed the Monte-Carlo simulation technique to carry out the Comptonization process and calculated the cumulative time taken by a photon during Comptonization, reflection and following the curved geometry on the way to the observer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Broad-band X-ray observations of the 2018 outburst of the changing-look active galactic nucleus NGC 1566
Arghajit Jana,Neeraj Kumari,Neeraj Kumari,Prantik Nandi,Sachindra Naik,Arka Chatterjee,Arka Chatterjee,Gaurava K. Jaisawal,Kimitake Hayasaki,Claudio Ricci,Claudio Ricci +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the nature of the changing-look Active Galactic Nucleus NGC 1566 during its June 2018 outburst and find that during the outburst, the X-ray intensity of the source rises up to ~25-30 times compared to its quiescent state intensity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing the nuclear and circumnuclear properties of NGC 6300 using X-ray observations
Arghajit Jana,Arka Chatterjee,Neeraj Kumari,Neeraj Kumari,Prantik Nandi,Sachindra Naik,Dusmanta Patra +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results obtained from a detailed X-ray timing and spectral analysis of Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 6300 were presented by using observations with the NGC 2 galaxy and NGC 4.
