On the problem of gate assignment under different rise and fall delays
TL;DR: This work shows that the gate assignment problem can be solved in time proportional to the size of the circuit, the number of choices available in the library for each gate and the delay of the circuits, and proposes a dynamic programming algorithm that solves it exactly in pseudopolynomial time.
The regulatory network underlying the transcriptional up-regulation of the FRL1 gene in mancozeb stressed yeast cells: qualitative modeling and simulation
Pedro T. Monteiro,Paulo Dias,Delphine Ropers,Arlindo L. Oliveira,Ana T. Freitas,Isabel Sá-Correia,Miguel C. Teixeira +6 more
Book ChapterDOI
An Evaluation of the Impact of Side Chain Positioning on the Accuracy of Discrete Models of Protein Structures
TL;DR: The results prove that discrete models can be used in protein folding to obtain low resolution models and since the side chains are already present in the models, the refinement of these solutions is simpler and more effective.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perimesencephalic Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM): case report

TL;DR: The Brazilian Journal of Neurosurgery (JBNC) as discussed by the authors is the oldest journal published in Brazil and has been published since 1973 with the name of “Seara Médica Neurocirúrgica” and it has been an extremely important information organ for Brazilian neurosurgeons.
Book ChapterDOI
Improved Model Checking Techniques for State Space Analysis of Gene Regulatory Networks
TL;DR: This chapter describes a number of additional functionalities that, when supported by a symbolic model checker, make it possible to answer important questions about the nature of the state spaces of gene regulatory networks, such as the nature and size of attractors, and the characteristics of the basins of attraction.
