Journal ArticleDOI
The implications of genetic mutations in the sodium channel gene (SCN5A).
TL;DR: Interestingly, death occurs during sleep in all of these disorders, suggesting a common mechanism, and mutational analyses have revealed about 103 distinct mutations in SCN5A, of which at least more than 30 mutations are associated with LQT3, whereas the rest of the mutations are affiliated with the remaining sodium channel disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bleeding complications after pacemaker or cardioverter-defibrillator implantation in patients receiving dual antiplatelet therapy: Results of a prospective, two-centre registry.
Andrzej Przybylski,Paweł Derejko M.D.,W. Kwaśniewski,D. Urbańczyk-Świć,Joanna Zakrzewska,W. Orszulak,Michał Orczykowski,Artur Filipecki,Franciszek Walczak,M. Trusz-Gluza +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors defined the prevalence of bleeding events in patients treated with dual antiplatelet therapy (DAT) in comparison with patients receiving only acetylsalicylic acid (ASA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of postconditioning on infarction size, adverse left ventricular remodeling, and improvement in left ventricular systolic function in patients with first anterior ST‑segment elevation myocardial infarction.
Marek Elżbieciak,Krystian Wita,Marek Grabka,Jarosław Chmurawa,Anika Doruchowska,Maciej Turski,Artur Filipecki,Maciej T. Wybraniec,Katarzyna Mizia-Stec +8 more
TL;DR: Postconditioning is a safe method but its application did not affect the volume of the infarction as well as did not improve LVEF or the development of adverse LV remodeling in a 3-month follow-up.
Journal ArticleDOI
Andersen-Tawil syndrome: Clinical presentation and predictors of symptomatic arrhythmias – Possible role of polymorphisms K897T in KCNH2 and H558R in SCN5A gene
Michalina Krych,Elżbieta Katarzyna Biernacka,Joanna Ponińska,Piotr Kukla,Artur Filipecki,Robert Gajda,Can Hasdemir,Charles Antzelevitch,Agnieszka Kosiec,Małgorzata Szperl,Rafał Płoski,Maria Trusz-Gluza,Katarzyna Mizia-Stec,Piotr Hoffman +13 more
TL;DR: A higher risk of arrhythmia, syncope, and/or CA is associated with the presence of micrognathia, periodic paralysis, and prolonged Tpeak-Tend time.
Journal ArticleDOI
QT/RR relationship in patients after remote anterior myocardial infarction with left ventricular dysfunction and different types of ventricular arrhythmias.
Krzysztof Szydło,Maria Trusz-Gluza,Krystian Wita,Artur Filipecki,Witold Orszulak,D. Urbanczyk,Jolanta Krauze,Jarosław Kolasa,Zbigniew Tabor +8 more
TL;DR: Differences in QT/RR relationship in patients after remote anterior MI with left ventricular dysfunction and different types of ventricular arrhythmias are calculated.
