TL;DR: In this paper, the causal relationship among technological innovation, environment pollution, energy consumption, and sustainable economic growth from selected South Asian economies was examined using the premises of the EKC framework in order to identify the causal association between energy growth and nexus of CO2 emissions, and found bidirectional causality between economic growth and energy use.

Tracing carbon emissions embodied in 2012 Chinese supply chains

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used an input-output model and structural path analysis to trace carbon emission flows from primary producer sectors to final consumer sectors based on the data of China in 2012 and found that nearly 90% of emissions occurred in upstream sectors of the supply chains, Manufacturing and Electricity/Gas/Water are the important transfer sectors.

Economic, Political and Institutional Determinants of Budget Deficits Volatility in Selected Asian Countries.

TL;DR: In this paper, the economic, political and institutional sources of budget deficits are analyzed for two regions South Asia and ASEAN countries for the period 1984 to 2010, and the results indicate that high level of political stability and democracy and improvement in social and economic condition reduces the budget deficit volatility.
