Journal ArticleDOI
Barley ROP Binding Kinase1 Is Involved in Microtubule Organization and in Basal Penetration Resistance to the Barley Powdery Mildew Fungus
Christina Huesmann,Tina Reiner,Caroline Hoefle,Jutta Preuss,Manuela E. Jurca,Mónika Domoki,Attila Fehér,Ralph Hückelhoven +7 more
TL;DR: Transient-induced gene silencing of barley HvRBK1 supported penetration by the parasitic fungus Blumeria graminis f.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of morphological variation and cold resistance in interspecific somatic hybrids between potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) and S. brevidens Phil.
TL;DR: Additive isozyme patterns and chromosome numbers as well as the expression of parental morphological characters have proved the hybrid origin of the selected regenerants, which have exhibited an intermediate degree of frost tolerance compared to the parents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of chromosome instability in interspecific somatic hybrids obtained by X-ray fusion between potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) and S. brevidens Phil
TL;DR: The detection of centromeric chromosome fragments and long, poly-constrictional chromosomes in cytological preparations as well as non-parental bands in Southern hybridizations with restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) markers revealed extensive chromosome rearrangements in most of the regenerated clones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation of a full-length mitotic cyclin cDNA clone CycIIIMs from Medicago sativa: chromosomal mapping and expression.
Arnould Savouré,Attila Fehér,Attila Fehér,Péter Kaló,Gyorgy Petrovics,Gyula Csanádi,Judit Szécsi,Judit Szécsi,György B. Kiss,Spencer Brown,Adam Kondorosi,Adam Kondorosi,Eva Kondorosi +12 more
TL;DR: The assignment of this cyclin to the mitotic cyclin class was based on its cDNA-derived sequence and its differential expression during G2/M cell cycle phase transition of a partially synchronized alfalfa cell culture.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histological and microarray analysis of the direct effect of water shortage alone or combined with heat on early grain development in wheat (Triticum aestivum).
Attila Szücs,Katalin Jäger,Manuela E. Jurca,Attila Fábián,Sándor Bottka,Ágnes Zvara,Beáta Barnabás,Attila Fehér +7 more
TL;DR: In response to the combined drought and heat treatment, the coordinately altered expression of genes coding for storage proteins, enzymes involved in sugar/starch metabolism, histone proteins, heat shock proteins, proteases, tonoplast aquaporins as well as several transcription factors has been observed.
