Thermodynamics of nonequilibrium radiation. (II) Irreversible evolution and experimental setup

TL;DR: In this article, the case of a semiconductor sample and the coupling of radiation and transverse optical phonons is explicitly considered, and it is shown that the quasitemperature per mode of the radiation field can be determined in optical experiments such as Raman scattering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coexistence of conducting and nonconducting phases on the metallic side of the mott transition in photoinjected semiconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the stability of the uniform steady state of itinerant carriers is probed resorting to linear normal mode analysis of the nonlinear equations of evolution for the carrier charge density.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Transient analysis of thermal distorsion in a silicon substrate on incidence of a single soft x-ray FEL pulse

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of a silicon surface after incidence of a short, high energy pulse in the soft X-ray range are discussed. But the authors focus on time-delays long enough after pulse incidence, so that the absorbed energy can be seen as a nonuniform time-dependent heat distribution in the solid.

Statistical Approach to Fractal-Structured Physico-Chemical Systems: Analysis of non-Fickian diffusion

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider the particular case of Renyi statistics whose use is illustrated in a study of the question of the ''anomalous'' (non-Fickian) diffusion that it is involved in experiments of cyclic voltammetry in electro-physical chemistry.
