Journal ArticleDOI
Second generation biofuels production from waste cooking oil via pyrolysis process
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal cracking of waste cooking oil (WCO) via pyrolysis was performed using a laboratory scale fixed-bed reactor and a maximum bio-oil yield of 80% has been obtained at 800°C and 15°C/min.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of biofuels production by means of co-pyrolysis of Posidonia oceanica (L.) and frying oil wastes: Experimental study and process modeling
Kaouther Zaafouri,Aïda Ben Hassen Trabelsi,Samah Krichah,Aymen Ouerghi,Abdelkarim Aydi,Abdelkarim Aydi,Carlos Alberto Claumann,Zibetti André Wüst,Silm Naoui,Latifa Bergaoui,Moktar Hamdi +10 more
TL;DR: Energy recovery from lignocellulosic solid marine wastes, Posidonia oceanica wastes (POW) with slow pyrolysis responds to the growing trend of alternative energies as well as waste management.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen-Rich Syngas Production from Gasification and Pyrolysis of Solar Dried Sewage Sludge: Experimental and Modeling Investigations
Aïda Ben Hassen Trabelsi,Amina Ghrib,Kaouther Zaafouri,Athar Friaa,Aymen Ouerghi,Slim Naoui,Habib Belayouni +6 more
TL;DR: Stoichiometric models of both pyrolysis and gasification reactions were determined based on the global biomass formula, CαHβOγNδSε, in order to assist in the products yields optimization.
