Journal ArticleDOI

Flux growth of some complex oxide materials

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the preparation of the following complex oxide crystals which have not previously been grown by the flux method: FeNbO4, MnWO4 and CoWO 4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal growth from the flux systems PbOV2O5 and Bi2O3V2O5

TL;DR: Fluxes of composition 2PbO·V 2 O 5 and 4Bi 2 O 3 ·V 2O 5 have been found to be particularly suitable for crystal growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flux growth of rare earth vanadates and phosphates

TL;DR: In this paper, a hot-pouring technique was used to recover rare earth vanadates and phosphates from Pb/sub 2/V/Sub 2/Cl and Pb/(sub 2V/P/sub 4/Cl) by slow cooling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical characteristics of flux-grown calcium titanate and nickel titanate crystals

TL;DR: In this article, hardness and fracture studies were conducted on different planes of flux-grown CaTiO3 and NiTiO 3 single crystals in the applied load range of 0.098-0.98 N, using a Vickers hardness tester.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microhardness, fracture mechanism and dielectric behaviour of flux-grown GdFeO3 single crystals

TL;DR: The results of indentation-induced hardness testing studies on flux-grown GdFeO 3 crystals, leading to an understanding of their mechanical behaviour, are presented in this paper, where the Vickers hardness of these crystals for (1/1/0) and (0/0/1) planes in the load range 0.098/0.98 n is 20.85/10.98 and 35.9/13.98 N, respectively.
