Journal ArticleDOI

Array-enhanced coherence resonance: nontrivial effects of heterogeneity and spatial independence of noise.

TL;DR: The effect of coherence resonance in a heterogeneous array of coupled Fitz Hugh-Nagumo neurons is demonstrated and it is shown that coupling of such elements leads to a significantly stronger coherence compared to that of a single element.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epidemic spreading in community networks

TL;DR: This model of community network is presented and it is found that, compared to the random network, the community network has a broader degree distribution, a smaller threshold of epidemic outbreak, and more prevalence to keep the outbreak endemic.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymmetric heat conduction in nonlinear lattices.

TL;DR: An extensive study of the two-segment Frenkel-Kontorova model is conducted, showing that the rectification effect of the heat flux reported in recent literature is possible only in the weak interfacial coupling limit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat conduction in one-dimensional chains

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the phonon-lattice interaction is the main ingredient of the Fourier heat law and provided a rather satisfactory explanation to all existing numerical results concerning this problem.
