TL;DR: The results lead to a paradigm shift away from the concept that binding of the anti-β2GP1 autoantibody/β2 GP1 complex activates both endothelial cells and platelets toward one in which activation of platelets in response to anti-α2-glycoprotein-1 auto Antiphospholipid syndrome binding leads to subsequent enhanced endothelium activation and fibrin generation.

TL;DR: High speed digital imaging of fluorescently labeled components and real time intravital microscopy is used to demonstrate that platelet accumulation and fibrin generation during thrombus formation occur simultaneously, and suggests a method for reversal of bleeding if these PDI inhibitors are found to be complicated by bleeding.
