Influence of imperfect joints and geometrical tolerances on a circuit breaker dynamics

TL;DR: The aim of this paper is to understand the influence of clearances in the kinematic joints, dimensional and geometrical tolerances associated with the parts, on the performance of a circuit breaker mechanism in the trip operation.

Comments on “Finite-time stability of discrete autonomous systems” [Automatica 122 (2020) 109282]

TL;DR: In this paper , it was shown that some controllers and stability results in Haddad and Lee (2020) can be shown to be equivalent to algorithms obtained from the implicit Euler discretization of a set-valued system, which is known to preserve many nice properties of the continuous-time dynamics after discretisation, like the convergence towards the (discrete) sliding surface in a finite number of steps.

Time-Stepping Schemes and One Step Solvers

TL;DR: It is necessary to obtain mathematical formalisms that incorporate not only the nonsmooth and multivalued models of the electronic devices, but also the equations obtained from the MNA (see Sects. 3.5 and 3.6).
