Survival After Hepatic Resection for Colorectal Metastases: A 10-Year Experience
Alice C. Wei,Paul D. Greig,David R. Grant,Bryce R. Taylor,Bernard Langer,Steven Gallinger,Steven Gallinger +6 more
TL;DR: Hepatic resection for metastatic colorectal cancer is safe and provides good long-term overall survival rates of 47% at 5 years and 28% at 10 years, even in individuals with multiple bilobar metastases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic factors in resected pancreatic adenocarcinoma: analysis of actual 5-year survivors.
Sean P. Cleary,Robert Gryfe,Maha Guindi,Paul D. Greig,Lloyd Smith,Robert Mackenzie,Robert Mackenzie,Steven M. Strasberg,Sherif S. Hanna,Bryce R. Taylor,Bernard Langer,Steven Gallinger,Steven Gallinger +12 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that longterm survival from pancreatic adenocarcinoma is possible if the disease is identified in its early stages as well as the development and evaluation of novel screening strategies to improve early detection of this disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surgical Resection of Hepatic and Pulmonary Metastases from Colorectal Carcinoma
Shimul A. Shah,Riad Haddad,Wigdan Al-Sukhni,Robin D. Kim,Paul D. Greig,David R. Grant,Bryce R. Taylor,Bernard Langer,Steven Gallinger,Alice C. Wei +9 more
TL;DR: In selected patients, serial metastasectomy for recurrent metastatic disease is safe and results in excellent longterm survival after CRC resection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pancreatic resection for metastatic renal cell carcinoma: presentation, treatment, and outcome.
Calvin Law,Alice C. Wei,Sherif S. Hanna,Mohamed Al-Zahrani,Bryce R. Taylor,Paul D. Greig,Bernard Langer,Steven Gallinger +7 more
TL;DR: Resection of pancreatic metastases from RCC is associated with long-term survival and should be considered for patients in whom complete resection is possible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors of Failure after Pancreaticoduodenectomy for Ampullary Carcinoma
Robin D. Kim,Pavi S. Kundhal,Ian D. McGilvray,Mark S. Cattral,Bryce R. Taylor,Bernard Langer,David R. Grant,George Zogopoulos,Shimul A. Shah,Paul D. Greig,Steven Gallinger,Steven Gallinger +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors retrospectively reviewed all patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy between August 1994 and August 2003 for ampullary carcinoma and analyzed factors that contribute to treatment failure and survival.
