Journal ArticleDOI

Co-liquefaction of micro- and macroalgae in subcritical water

TL;DR: Co-liquefaction alleviated the severe reaction conditions compared to the separate liquefaction of SP and EP and also promoted the in situ deoxygenation of the bio-oil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co-pyrolysis of microalgae and waste rubber tire in supercritical ethanol

TL;DR: In this paper, a co-pyrolysis of microalgae and waste rubber tire (WRT) in supercritical ethanol was examined to investigate the effects of reaction temperature (290-370°C), time (10-120 min), WRT/microalgae mass ratio (R/M, 5/0-0:5), and ethanol/feedstock ratio (EtOH/(R+M), 5:5-30:5).
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermo-chemical conversion of Chlorella pyrenoidosa to liquid biofuels.

TL;DR: Ethanol was proven to be the most suitable solvent to convert C. pyrenoidosa into bio- oil from the yield and economic points of view and temperature is the most influential factor on the products yield and properties of the bio-oil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalytic Oxidation of Glucose into Formate on Nano TiO2 Catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, a photocatalytic method to selectively convert glucose into formate is first reported using a nano TiO2 catalyst, and it showed that glucose can be efficiently converted into formic acid with a high yield of 35% at ambient condition with 0.03 M NaOH concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-catalytic liquefaction of microalgae in sub-and supercritical acetone

TL;DR: In this article, a micro alga (Chlorella pyrenoidosa ) was treated in sub/supercritical acetone in the absence of catalyst by using a high pressure bath reactor.
