Rolling contact bearing with rotational speed measuring device

Abstract: A rolling contact bearing with rotational speed measuring device, in particular a wheel bearing for motor vehicles for telemetric transmission of energy and signal between bearing and environment, insensitive to tolerances of the bearing and its surrounding parts, with simple and cost-effective construction and small dimensions. A first telemetry unit is integrated in the inter-ring seal. It comprises pulse transmitter, rotational speed sensor, telemetry electronics and a miniature coil, which is inductively coupled with a further telemetry unit, which is fitted axially outside the bearing, and which supplies the first telemetry unit with energy and receives its signals.

Roller bearing incorporating rotation measuring device e.g. for automobile wheel bearing

TL;DR: In this paper, the roller bearing has a telemetric device incorporated in the bearing seal, provided by a pulse source, a rotation sensor, a telemetry electronic circuit, and at least one mini coil.
Patent

Electroacoustic transducer for generating or detecting ultrasound, transducer array and method for the production of the transducer or the transducer array

TL;DR: In this paper, a transducer array for generating or detecting ultrasound is described, comprising a solid, deflection resistant substrate, a flexible membrane made of a semiconductor material, whose edge is affixed on the substrate, and electrodes for applying or tapping electric current between the membrane and the substrate.
Patent

Coaxial sensor for determining temperature in contact zone between two relatively movable bodies, has two conductors close together with one conductor fully or partially enclosing the other

TL;DR: In this paper, a thermoelement attached to one body with two electric conductors for generating an electric voltage corresponds to the temp. to be determined, where conductors are arranged close together and make new electrical contact as a result of heat of friction and/or deformation in the contact zone between the two bodies.

Microwave measurement of motor vehicle wheel roller bearing separation distances, uses an array of microwave emitters, to determine forces acting on individual tires to improve driving comfort and safety

TL;DR: In this paper, an array of fixed microwave emitters are used to determine axial and radial displacement of bearing surfaces, and a resonance peak is found that corresponds to the distance.
