Protein crystallography beamline (PX-BL21) at Indus-2 synchrotron.
Ashwani Kumar,Biplab Ghosh,Himanshu K. Poswal,K. K. Pandey,Jagannath,M. V. Hosur,A.P. Dwivedi,Ravindra D. Makde,Surinder M. Sharma +8 more
TL;DR: The protein crystallography beamline, installed at the 1.5 T bending-magnet port at the Indian synchrotron (Indus-2), is now available to users and can be used for X-ray diffraction measurements on a single crystal of macromolecules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigating Conformational Dynamics of Lewis Y Oligosaccharides and Elucidating Blood Group Dependency of Cholera Using Molecular Dynamics.
TL;DR: The molecular basis of recognition of LeY oligosaccharides by the B subunit of the cholera toxin of classical and El Tor biotypes is investigated using the molecular mechanics generalized Born surface area (MM/GBSA) scheme.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure of the human aminopeptidase XPNPEP3 and comparison of its in vitro activity with Icp55 orthologs: Insights into diverse cellular processes.
Rahul Singh,Sahayog N. Jamdar,Venuka Durani Goyal,Ashwani Kumar,Biplab Ghosh,Ravindra D. Makde +5 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that XPNPEP3 plays the same mitochondrial role in humans as Icp55 does in yeast, and the presence of both Xaa-Pro aminopeptidase and mitochondrial processing activities in ICP55 elucidates the unexplained processing of the mitochondrial cysteine desulfurase Nfs1 in yeast.
Journal ArticleDOI
The physics of accelerator driven sub-critical reactors
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the physics issues specific to accelerator driven systems (ADS) and present the status of the reactor physics program and some of the ADS concepts under study, including computer codes for burnup studies based on transport theory and Monte Carlo methods, codes for studying the kinetics of ADS and sub-critical facilities driven by 14 MeV neutron generators for ADS experiments and development of subcriticality measurement methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
The heptameric structure of the flagellar regulatory protein FlrC is indispensable for ATPase activity and disassembled by cyclic-di-GMP
Shrestha Chakraborty,Maitree Biswas,Sanjay Dey,Shubhangi Agarwal,Tulika Chakrabortty,Biplab Ghosh,Jhimli Dasgupta +6 more
TL;DR: Systematic phylogenetic analysis allowed us to propose similar regulatory mechanisms for FlrCs of several Vibrio species and a set of monotrichous Gram-negative bacteria.
