Diagnostics of SARS-CoV-2 infection using electrical impedance spectroscopy with an immunosensor to detect the spike protein

TL;DR: In this article , a low-cost immunosensor was used to detect spike proteins of SARS-CoV-2, including in samples of inactivated virus, using electrical impedance spectroscopy using an immunosensors that contains a monolayer film of carboxymethyl chitosan as matrix, coated with an active layer of antibodies specific to the spike protein.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chitosan effects on monolayers of zwitterionic, anionic and a natural lipid extract from E. coli at physiological pH

TL;DR: In this article , the effects of chitosan on realistic models of bacterial membranes under physiological pH were analyzed, showing that Ch35% interaction with negatively charged lipids and with E. coli extract were weaker than those involving zwitterionic monolayers or lipid rafts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chitosan effects on monolayers of zwitterionic, anionic and a natural lipid extract from E. coli at physiological pH.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects from chitosans on realistic models of bacterial membranes under physiological pH 4.5 or 7.4 were analyzed. But the results of the experiments were limited to the case of a partially N-acetylated Chitosan (Ch35%) possessing a quasi-ideal random pattern of acetylation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Silica Nanoparticle/Polymer Film-Based Soft Mechanochromic Devices for Detecting Mechanical Deformation and Stress Cycles in Varied Environments

TL;DR: In this paper , a silica nanoparticle/polymer film-based soft mechanochromic device with multilayered architecture displaying structural colors that are changed reversibly under deformation cycles is presented.
