Solid-state electrochemical studies of the mixed conductor CuxMo6S8−y. II: Equilibrium partial thermodynamic properties
TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium emf of the cell Pt/Cu/copper electrolyte/CuxMo6S7.59/Pt has been measured as a function of x and temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamics and kinetics of lithium diffusion in V6O13
P.C. Spurdens,John Drennan,John Owen,Brian C.H. Steele,J.M. Gonzales-Calbet,David A. Jefferson +5 more
TL;DR: The equilibrium voltage-composition curve for Li x V 6 O 13 between 0 and 0.7 has been determined in a cell using a single crystal V6 O 13 cathode, polymer solid electrolyte and a lithium metal anode as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
ZrO2CeO2Y2O3: electrical and mechanical property relationships with the microstructure
Nasrullah Khan,Brian C.H. Steele +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical conductivity, fracture strength and toughness of one composition from each tetragonal (t), cubic (c) and two-phase (t + c) region were measured.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion of ferritic stainless steel during metal-organic chemical vapour deposition growth using a fluorinated precursor
John McAleese,Brian C.H. Steele +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a corrosion mechanism based on existing theories is presented for the growth of Ce1−xGdxO2−x2 films by metal-organic chemical vapour deposition has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lithium insertion into a vanadium boron oxide glass
TL;DR: A vanadium-boron oxide glass with a V:B ratio of 9:1 has been made by quenching the melt between brass blocks as mentioned in this paper, which is blue-black and dissolves in water.
