Journal ArticleDOI
Triplet-sensitized photolysis of alkoxycarbonyl azides in solution and matrices
Rajesh S. Murthy,Sivaramakrishnan Muthukrishnan,Sridhar Rajam,Sarah M. Mandel,Bruce S. Ault,Anna D. Gudmundsdottir +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the formation of isocyanic acid in matrices must come from secondary photolysis of nitrenes 1n − 3n.
Journal ArticleDOI
Infrared spectra of matrix-isolated calcium-44 substituted oxides
Lester Andrews,Bruce S. Ault +1 more
TL;DR: The products of 44 Ca atom reactions with ozone and oxygen have been isolated in solid nitrogen at 15 K as discussed by the authors, and an excellent wavenumber fit for four isotopic molecules confirms the diatomic CaO assignment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Matrix isolation study of the reaction of dimethyl sulfoxide with CrCl2O2 and OVCl3
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal and photochemical reactions of DMSO with CrCl 2 O 2 and OVCl 3 were investigated using the matrix isolation technique combined with infrared spectroscopy and theoretical calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Matrix Isolation and Cryogenic Thin Film Studies of Molecular Complexes of Dimethylzinc with Group V and VI Hydrides
Hebi Bai,Bruce S. Ault +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Excimer-laser-induced oxidation of diborane: Formation and isolation of HBO, HB18O AND H3B3O3 in argon matrices
TL;DR: In this article, an excimer laser operating at 193 nm was used in conjunction with the matrix isolation technique to study the reaction of B2H6 with oxygen atoms, and the most intense fundamental of BH3 was tentatively identified at 1138 cm−1.
