TL;DR: In this article, a pilot study was conducted to determine the role of sICs in the classification of prognosis and response to treatment in patients with advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuromuscular magnetic stimulation counteracts muscle decline in ALS patients: results of a randomized, double-blind, controlled study
Antonio Musarò,Antonio Musarò,Gabriella Dobrowolny,Gabriella Dobrowolny,C. Cambieri,Emanuela Onesti,Marco Ceccanti,Vittorio Frasca,Annalinda Pisano,Bruna Cerbelli,Elisa Lepore,Gabriele Ruffolo,Pierangelo Cifelli,Cristina Roseti,Carla Giordano,Maria Cristina Gori,Eleonora Palma,Maurizio Inghilleri +17 more
TL;DR: Primary outcome was the change in the muscle strength in upper arms, and secondary outcomes showed that the improvement observed in rNMMS-treated muscles was associated to counteracting muscle atrophy, down-modulating the proteolysis, and increasing the efficacy of nicotinic ACh receptors (AChRs).
Journal ArticleDOI
New derivatives of the antimalarial drug Pyrimethamine in the control of melanoma tumor growth: an in vitro and in vivo study.
Chiara Tommasino,Lucrezia Gambardella,Maria Buoncervello,Roger J. Griffin,Bernard T. Golding,Manuela Alberton,Daniele Macchia,Massimo Spada,Bruna Cerbelli,Giulia d'Amati,Walter Malorni,Lucia Gabriele,Anna Maria Giammarioli +12 more
TL;DR: The screening approach led to the identification of a “low cost” newly synthesized drug (methylbenzoprim), which is able to act as an antineoplastic agent in vitro and in vivo, inhibiting melanoma tumor growth at very low concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
NUT midline carcinoma: Current concepts and future perspectives of a novel tumour entity.
Massimiliano Salati,Cinzia Baldessari,Luca Reggiani Bonetti,Carlo Messina,Valeria Merz,Bruna Cerbelli,Andrea Botticelli +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that in addition to its pathogenetic and diagnostic role, NUT-fusion oncoprotein has been shown to be amenable to targeted inhibition using BET inhibitors and may affect the clinical course.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nivolumab in pretreated non-small cell lung cancer: continuing the immunolution
TL;DR: This data indicates that lung cancer is still the leading cause of both cancer-related incidence and mortality worldwide with roughly 1.8 million cases and 1.6 million deaths annually.
