Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of quaternary α-perfluoroalkyl lactams via electrophilic perfluoroalkylation.

TL;DR: Efficient protocols enabling the rapid installation of trifluoromethyl, as well as further functionalized fluoroalkyl groups by an electrophilic perfluoroalksylation of lactam-derived ketene silyl amides (KSAs) using hypervalent iodine reagents 1 and 2 have been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hypervalent Iodine Reagents: Thiol Derivatization with a Tetrafluoroethoxy Coumarin Residue for UV Absorbance Recognition

TL;DR: In this article, a new hypervalent iodine reagent based on 1,2-dihydro-3,3-dimethyl-1, 2-benziodoxole containing a 4-methyl-7-tetrafluoroethoxycoumarin unit as a specific UV absorber was described.
