Journal ArticleDOI
Biogenic platinum nanoparticles using black cumin seed and their potential usage as antimicrobial and anticancer agent.
Ayşenur Aygün,Fulya Gulbagca,Lütfiye Yıldız Ozer,Buket Ustaoglu,Yasemin Celik Altunoglu,Mehmet Cengiz Baloglu,Mehmet Nuri Atalar,Mehmet Hakkı Alma,Fatih Şen +8 more
TL;DR: The cytotoxicity and bacterial tests showed the effectiveness of biogenic Pt nanoparticles, and Pt NPs showed high zone diameters against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria at concentrations of 100 and 500 μg/ml.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Rheum ribes and evaluation of their anticarcinogenic and antimicrobial potential: A novel approach in phytonanotechnology.
Ayşenur Aygün,Fulya Gulbagca,Mehmet Salih Nas,Mehmet Hakkı Alma,Mehmet Harbi Calimli,Buket Ustaoglu,Yasemin Celik Altunoglu,Mehmet Cengiz Baloglu,Kemal Cellat,Fatih Şen +9 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that Ag NPs can be developed as potential anticancer and antibacterial agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multidirectional insights on Chrysophyllum perpulchrum leaves and stem bark extracts: HPLC-ESI-MSn profiles, antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory, antimicrobial and cytotoxic properties
Mehmet Cengiz Baloglu,Eulogio J. Llorent-Martínez,Muhammad Zakariyyah Aumeeruddy,Mohamad Fawzi Mahomoodally,Yasemin Celik Altunoglu,Buket Ustaoglu,Mustafa Ocal,Songül Gürel,Kouadio Bene,Kouadio Ibrahime Sinan,Gokhan Zengin +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on the evaluation of the antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory, antimicrobial and cytotoxic effects of three solvent extracts (ethyl acetate, methanol, and water) of the stem bark and leaves.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anticancer and biological properties of leaf and flower extracts of Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench
Khawla Omran Mohamed Sharif,Enis Fuat Tufekci,Buket Ustaoglu,Yasemin Celik Altunoglu,Gokhan Zengin,Eulogio J. Llorent-Martínez,Kerim Güney,Mehmet Cengiz Baloglu +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, DNA protection, antimicrobial, antioxidant-enzyme inhibition, and antiproliferative activities of water, methanol (MeOH), and ethyl acetate (EA) extracts of Echinacea purpurea were evaluated.
