Journal ArticleDOI

Developments in the control of fine particulate air emissions

TL;DR: A comprehensive review of emerging technologies and recent developments in air pollution control equipment and processes specifically addressing particulate removal is provided in this paper, focusing on approaches with a high degree of novelty and/or involving new modifications to conventional systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

The application of dynamic clustering data to the sedimentation rates of concentrated suspensions

TL;DR: In this article, a modified Stokes equation is proposed for the settling of concentrated suspensions of spherical particles in Newtonian fluids, and a hindered settling model was derived semi-analytically incorporating data obtained on dynamic particle clustering in concentrated suspensions by Graham and Bird.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coal rank and surface properties of oil agglomerates

TL;DR: The wettabilities of agglomerates made from coals of several different ranks were measured by the adhesion technique and oil levels from 0 to 10% by weight were used.
