Bonding Performance of Universal Adhesives: An Updated Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez,Wellington Luiz de Oliveira da Rosa,Rafael Guerra Lund,Adriana Fernandes da Silva,Evandro Piva +4 more
TL;DR: The in vitro evidence suggests that bonding performance of mild universal adhesion can be improved by using the selective enamel-etch strategy, and Mild universal adhesives seem to be the more stable materials, in both etch-and-rinse or self-etch strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histological Evaluation of Bone Repair with Hydroxyapatite: A Systematic Review.
Hellen L Oliveira,Wellington Luiz de Oliveira da Rosa,Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez,Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez,Neftalí L. V. Carreño,Adriana Fernandes da Silva,Thomas Normanton Guim,Odir Antônio Dellagostin,Evandro Piva +8 more
TL;DR: Although animal studies revealed a high risk of bias, the literature suggests that non-critical bone defects may heal spontaneously and without the need of a bone graft, when critical-size defects are present, the use of hydroxyapatite bone graft improves the bone repair process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bond Strength of Universal Adhesives to Dentin: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Louis Hardan,Rim Bourgi,Naji Kharouf,Davide Mancino,Maciej Zarow,Natalia Jakubowicz,Youssef Haikel,Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to determine whether there are any alternative techniques or additional strategies available to enhance the bond strength of universal adhesives to dentin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Double Bond Conversion of Photopolymerizable Monomers by FTIR-ATR Spectroscopy
Ana M. Herrera-González,Martín Caldera-Villalobos,Alma Antonia Pérez-Mondragón,Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez,J. Abraham González-López +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, an experiment for the calculation of the degree of double bond conversion, after a polymerization reaction, of photopolymerizable liquid monomers using FTIR-ATR spectroscopy is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bonding Strength of Universal Adhesives to Indirect Substrates: A Meta‐Analysis of In Vitro Studies
Carlos Enrique Cuevas-Suárez,Wellington Luiz de Oliveira da Rosa,Rafael Pino Vitti,Adriana Fernandes da Silva,Evandro Piva +4 more
TL;DR: The clinical procedure of luting zirconia and resin composite restorations could be simplified by using single-bottle universal adhesives, but the ability of universal adhesion to achieve an adequate and durable bond to glass-based ceramics and alloys appears to be limited.
