Journal ArticleDOI

Ancillary ligand effect on single-site styrene polymerization: isospecificity of group 4 metal bis(phenolate) catalysts.

TL;DR: Styrene is polymerized isospecifically by group 4 metal complexes that contain a C2-symmetrically coordinated 1,4-dithiabutane-linked bis(phenolato) ligand activated by methylaluminoxane.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isospecific Styrene Polymerization by Chiral Titanium Complexes That Contain a Tetradentate [OSSO]-Type Bis(phenolato) Ligand

TL;DR: A series of titanium dichloro and di(isopropoxy) complexes with a 1,4-dithiabutanediyl-linked bis(4,6-disubstituted phenolato) ligand were synthesized by reacting the corresponding linked bis(phenol) (HOC6H2-6-R1-4-R2)2{S(CH2)-2S} (1a−i) with the titanium precursor TiX4 as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel iron(III) catalyst for the efficient and selective coupling of carbon dioxide and epoxides to form cyclic carbonates

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of cyclic organic carbonates in high yield, stereo-and chemo-selectivity was accomplished through the coupling of carbon dioxide and epoxides, catalysed by a novel air-stable and easy-to-handle thioether-triphenolate iron(III) complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

[OSSO]-Type Iron(III) Complexes for the Low-Pressure Reaction of Carbon Dioxide with Epoxides: Catalytic Activity, Reaction Kinetics, and Computational Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the selective conversion of various substituted epoxides into the corresponding cyclic carbonates under mild reaction conditions was achieved with mononuclear Fe(III) complexes bearing bis-thioether-diphenolate [OSSO]-type ligands, in combination with tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB).
Journal ArticleDOI

Stereoselective Polymerization of Conjugated Dienes and Styrene−Butadiene Copolymerization Promoted by Octahedral Titanium Catalyst

TL;DR: In this article, the ability of the dichloro{1,4-dithiabutanediyl-2,2‘-bis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenoxy)}titanium complex to catalyze homopolymerization of conjugated dienes and copolymerisation of butadiene with styrene is reported.
