Richard B. Berry,Rohit Budhiraja,Daniel J. Gottlieb,David Gozal,Conrad Iber,Vishesh K. Kapur,Carole L. Marcus,Reena Mehra,Sairam Parthasarathy,Stuart F. Quan,Susan Redline,Kingman P. Strohl,Sally L. Davidson Ward,Michelle M. Tangredi +13 more
TL;DR: The task force made recommendations concerning recommended and alternative sensors for the detection of apnea and hypopnea to be used during diagnostic and positive airway pressure (PAP) titration polysomnography, and recommended scoring rules.

TL;DR: Surgical treatment for the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome in school-age children did not significantly improve attention or executive function as measured by neuropsychological testing but did reduce symptoms and improve secondary outcomes of behavior, quality of life, and polysomnographic findings, thus providing evidence of beneficial effects of early adenotonsillectomy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Normal polysomnographic values for children and adolescents.
Carole L. Marcus,Omlin Kj,Basinki Dj,Bailey Sl,Rachal Ab,von Pechmann Ws,Thomas G. Keens,Ward Sl +7 more
TL;DR: Overnight polysomnographic results in the pediatric age group differ from those in adults, and recommendations for normal polysOMnographic criteria are given.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Systematic Review of CPAP Adherence Across Age Groups: Clinical and Empiric Insights for Developing CPAP Adherence Interventions
Amy M. Sawyer,Nalaka S. Gooneratne,Carole L. Marcus,Carole L. Marcus,Dafna Ofer,Dafna Ofer,Kathy C. Richards,Terri E. Weaver +7 more
TL;DR: Though evidence to date has led to innovative strategies that address adherence in CPAP-treated children, adults, and older adults, significant opportunities exist to develop and test interventions that are clinically applicable, specific to sub-groups of patients likely to demonstrate poor adherence, and address the multi-factorial nature of CPAP adherence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inability of Clinical History to Distinguish Primary Snoring From Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome in Children
TL;DR: It is concluded that primary snoring in children cannot be reliably distinguished from childhood obstructive sleep apnea syndrome by clinical history alone.
