Journal ArticleDOI
On a KdV equation with higher-order nonlinearity: Traveling wave solutions
TL;DR: The improved tanh–coth method is used to obtain wave solutions to a Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation with higher-order nonlinearity, from which the standard KdV and the modified Kortseweg- de Vries equations with variable coefficients can be derived as particular cases.

Pd/Halloysite as a Novel, Efficient and Reusable Heterogeneous Nanocatalyst for the Synthesis of p-Phenylenevinylene Oligomers
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenylenevinylene oligomers by Mizoroki-Heck cross coupling reaction. Structural and optoelectronic characterization
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the molecular structure on the optical properties of totally trans-trans phenylenevinylene oligomers (OPVs), sixteen 1,4-distyrylbenzene derivatives (1a-i and 2a-g ) functionalized with different electron-donating (ED) and electron-withdrawing (EW) groups were synthesized by the Mizoroki-Heck cross coupling reaction in moderate to good yields (40-95%).
Journal ArticleDOI
High yield and stereospecific synthesis of segmented poly (p-phenylene vinylene) by the Heck reaction
TL;DR: A block copolymer comprised of a 2,5 (p-phenylene vinylene) unit alternating with a hexamethylene unit was synthetized by the Heck methodology using phosphite ligands and two different sources of palladium, with high yields and good polymerization degrees as mentioned in this paper.
